What is the WET Initiative & what’s it all about?
The WET Initiative is a non-profit aiming to promote sustainability by providing safe clean water in & around lakes that are often used for recreation. Events like Lake Lovers United: PLX Lake Clean Up are part of our mission to create healthier waterways free from oil pollution, litter, storm drains, & various other pollutants.
We want to empower lakers to take ownership of their community so they can have even more fun getting wet.
Where are we meeting and how do I register?
The event will be held in the Portage Lakes, Ohio. If you are receiving a free kayak, you will be meeting at your designated launch location and will register there. If you are using your own watercraft, refer to the list of registration locations and start there!
